“Shell Seeker”
6 5/8” square
I love to collect these shells on my daily beach walks. This specimen was worn by the tide and faded by the sun. I love the soft subtle neutral tones in the Shell and watercolor. This piece can easily work with your existing art or fill in a tiny space in any room. A lovely accent in a master bath, guest room or coastal kitchen.

The scallop shell is a common find on the beautiful beaches near my studio.

Scallop season is eagerly anticipated here on the North Fork of Long Island. Fisherman and residents file for a license to gather the scallops for eating. They are sweet, succulent and fresh from the bay. The season runs from November- March , it’s short so enjoy them while you can!

Each shell has been painted on Arches paper, my favorite handmade French watercolor paper. They were sketched first in pencil then lovingly painted in delicate layers of watercolor. Wired on the back for hanging purposes.
