Horton’s Point Lighthouse in Southold NY was commissioned in 1790 during George Washington’s presidency. It was later built in 1857 and is still in operation today to warn ships of the rocky shores in the Long Island Sound. The structure has a soft unusual off white hue, it’s set on the bluffs overlooking Long Islnd Sound.
