Coastal watercolor landscapes are my most favorite subject to paint. I often paint En Plein Air, which loosely translated, means outdoor in the open air. This piece was painted in such a manner. This beach is located in East Marion, NY. The day was spectacular and the rocks were so challenging to paint. You must work quickly as the light shifts, the tide changes and the sun dries your paint quite quickly.
