Art Playdate: Let's Paint Florals + Teacup Kitties!

If you're looking to create, to plan a date night, paint birthday gift for a friend or a treat for yourself (or both), then come join watercolorist Melissa Hyatt and cat illustrator Leeza Hernandez for two hours of creative play.

During the first half of this interactive class, Melissa will guide you through a springy, watercolor floral with a sweet, hand-painted message of love. We'll take a short break, then Leeza will walk you through a simple teacup kitty collage. Create alongside your hosts, ask questions, share your work at the end (totally optional), get feedback and just have fun.

This class is designed to:
• Explore your own creativity
• Make two pieces of art (for yourself or a loved one)
• Hang out with fellow creatives
• Learn some quick tricks + techniques
• Give you an exclusive sneak peek into Melissa and Leeza's creative spaces and processes
• Witness all the mess and magic that happens behind the scenes

Leeza and Melissa have travelled the world to paint together and can’t wait to share their love for art and creating with you. Grab your favorite supplies and let's make some original art!

Suggested materials:
• Watercolor or mixed-media paper
• Watercolor paints: Doesn't have to be fancy. A simple pan, travel set or a few tubes of color will do.
• Scraps of paper for the collage. Book pages, #10 envelopes, tissue and receipts all work well. Or you can paint a few papers with your own patterns and brush strokes ahead of time to make it more unique.
• Colored pencils + HB Pencil
• Paint Brushes. (Sizes 0, 2, 6 and 8 are good options)
• Glue stick
• Scissors or xacto knife
